In general - interesting and addictive a bit. You just have a feeling that you must finish the case and solve the mystery. It does crash sometimes...but not so often. No big deal. I recommend for sure.

It is a good game but youre buying only half of it. Secound part of the game costs additional money. In my opinion It is despicable bussines practise. If you are like me and find this unacceptable vote with your wallet and avoid this game. Everything would be fine if you wrote full price or maybe add information in the title... But developer had me believing that Im buying full game. What is a point in buying half of the game?! I love broken sword series and i started playing it (since i purchased this game). It looks great and i wont say bad word about game a sutch. Despite it being fine game Im still angry and unhappy about purchase.

They swindled me: I bought it but no game

Perfect in many aspects: controls, time spent by walking minimized, possible to skip single dialogue lines, immaculate graphics, pro. voice acting in various languages, lightning-fast saving and smooth/stable gameplay. YET, all those utilized for an insubstantial story and godawful puzzles. as an adventure game nerd of >20 years, this is by far the easiest/most obvious one I played. Its an interactive story marketed as a point& click adventure. Nothing wrong with that per se, but it lacks the story-telling strengths of wolf among us or dear Esther, or even w. Dead games to succeed as an interactive story. (No original twist brought to the stolen, ominous historical artwork trope, very flat, vexingly stereotypical characters, none of whom develop into anything remotely identifiable ). On top of that, Its not possible, let alone necessary, for the players to switch locations in the city, the game itself patronizingly takes the player to the correct scene one after another. All that the infantilized player needs to do is to find the right interaction among 4-5 available ones. Recent iOS games like year walk and device 6 hit the perfect spot in terms of playability/difficulty, IMO. the first two broken swords found the equilibrium too. Please get decent writers, folks, Im truly sad to see so much coding/game design know-how wasted on a lame story and kindergarten-level puzzles.

I have played all the broken swords stories and this story feels kind of short. Probably due to the linearity that a reviewer suggested. One gets thru the game quite easily. But otherwise well thought out game.

Enjoyed every minute of this smart, funny, engaging game. Very different. Worth every penny and more. What a delight.

Wow, this is one of the best point and click engines Ive seen on iOS. The graphics are beautiful! Yes, it is true that the game is not too hard. But for me, at least, its good this way. You play and the game "obeys" what you would probrably do if it was not a game. And this creates sometimes an impression that the game is a little obvious. But it is worth it!

I have played 2 other broken sword games. I have enjoyed them all. They are a bit too easy for me but still fun and would be great for some. I have one complaint in this one, I currently am in middle of adventure and all I get is a blank screen. I can no longer play. I have an iPad Air so it should work. I would raise to 4 star if I could play it. Started working so giving 4. Still a little too easy but good for beginner.

Nothing outstanding here.. Competent voice acting, thin, but interesting script.. I find the interaction too simplistic and to a fault. Be prepared for trying everything in a scene just to make sure you left no stones unturned.. That gets kind of repetitive after a few hours.. Despite the average review, I am looking forward to hearing how the story ends.. I guess thats a good sign..

Thank god adventure games are making a comeback! They could triple the price and it would still be worth it. I dont understand why there arent more quality adventure games for the ipad. Now where is episode 2?
